
Employability in higher education: six French institutions in the global Top 50
The Times Higher Education has published the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) 2025, which ranks universities worldwide based on employability.
The GEURS 2025 covers 250 institutions and is based solely on the opinions of employers worldwide, and 19 French institutions are featured in the ranking, with six among the top 50 globally.
France ranks third among the seven major countries in the survey, behind the United States (51 universities) and Germany (20 institutions), but ahead of the UK, Canada, Australia, and the Netherlands.
The top six French institutions in the global top 50 are:
- CentraleSupélec (20th globally)
- HEC Paris (22nd globally)
- École Polytechnique de Paris (26th globally)
- emlyon Business School (42nd globally)
- Sorbonne Université (48th globally)
- Université Paris-Saclay (50th globally)
Five more French institutions are in the global top 100, including Mines Paris - PSL, ESCP Business School, EDHEC Business School, ESSEC, and École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay.
Eight additional French institutions are featured in the ranking, covering various regions of metropolitan France. The ranking is established by and for employers, based on direct information from thousands of international employers representing millions of recruitments worldwide.
This ranking highlights the strong position of French higher education institutions in terms of employability on a global scale.
